MIPIM, the leading event in the real estate market that brings together the most influential international real estate players for 4 days of conferences and networking events, held at the Palais des Festival in Cannes from 13 to March 16th.
Thanks to the “Greater Milan and Lombardy Region” initiative promoted by the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy Region, the most important private subjects took part, presenting their urban development and regeneration projects that are changing the face of the Metropolitan Area of the city. This is a vital opportunity that, thanks to a successful example of private-public partnership, brought the countless opportunities for investment currently offered (as well as those in the near future) in the “Greater Milan” and Lombardy Region to the attention of an extremely qualified audience, composed of the international leaders of the Real Estate sector of over 90 countries in the world. The “Greater Milan and Lombardy Region” exhibition space (integrated into the context of the Italian Pavilion managed by ITA-ICE) showcased twenty projects proposed by private parties who supported the initiative, along with those of the two institutions. These players are Arexpo, Beni Stabili, Bizzi & Partner Development, Camplus, Coima, Generali Real Estate, InvestiRE, Lendlease, Lombardini22, Progetto CMR, Risanamento, Gruppo Unipol, Westfield Milano.
Milan also distinguished itself during the Mipim Awards ceremony. Two were the winning Milanese projects: in the category “Best urban regeneration project” Milan Porta Nuova, the new Business District of the city; in the category “Best Office & Business Development” Feltrinelli Porta Volta, the first public building built in Italy by the architectural firm Herzog & e de Meuron. Both these awarded projects were developed by Coima Group and have excelled on world-class competitors and cities such as Berlin, Moscow, London, Jakarta and Chongqing. This prestigious result, which was achieved after a long selection process carried out by a jury “screening” 220 projects from 55 countries, highlights the participation at MIPIM of Greater Milan and Lombardy Region.
